Soy Spread

Soy Butter

Quest Food Services maintains a completely peanut and tree nut free kitchen environment within District 67. As an alternate option to peanut butter, Quest offers a product called soy butter (or as they call it, "Soy Spread") in the District 67 cafeterias. This product, which contains soybeans and soybean oil, is manufactured in a nut free facility and has a nutty flavor.  Students will be able to enjoy a sandwich of soy spread & jelly as another alternate lunch option each day, and as a dip with veggies and fruit from the Fruit/Veggie Cart. If you have any questions about this optio, please contact our food service director at asimons@lfschools.net or 847-604-7476.

Before offering this product, Quest Food Services notified all parents within the district who had allergy concerns, met with school nurses and building APT Food Service representatives, and provided information to all administrators and staff.
