Green Backpack

District 67 has made a commitment to "go green" as an example of environmental responsibility, and to eiminate the amount of paperwork sent home in student backpacks and folders. This page contains links to flyers, and community news.

The display of community flyers is provided as a service for non-profit organizations. Lake Forest School District 67 neither endorses nor sponsors the organizations or activities represented in the following materials unless specifically noted as a District 67 organization or activity, or sponsored by District 67.

LFHS Bike and Bake Sale
On Saturday May 4, families will have the opportunity to take home quality used bicycles and more at Lake Forest High School’s annual Bike and Bake Sale. The sale begins at 10 a.m. at the school’s campus Field House, 1285 N. McKinley Road, and runs for as long as the equipment lasts. Come early to find great deals for all ages.

This community event also offers a great opportunity to “recycle” your used bikes, roller blades, baby joggers, wagons, scooters, helmets and skateboards. Drop off equipment behind the school, at the north end on Friday, May 3 from 4 to 6 p.m., or Saturday from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. You choose to donate half or the entire sale price.

For more information, contact Justine Santello at jdamicosantello@comast.net or Mary Beth Theodore at mbtheodore@aol.com.

LDA Sip and Celebration

Join the LDA for the Spring Sip & Celebration, at Caputo Cheese Market, Thursday, May 9th at 7pm.

Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased in advance at www.lflblda.com.

A portion of all wine and cheese sales that evening will be donated back to LDA. This event benefits the LDA’s Make a Difference Grant Program, which donated over $40,000 to local LF and LB schools in 2012-2013.

In addition, please join us in saying goodbye to retiring District 65 and District 67 Administrators, Dr. Julie Cooley and Dr. Anne Wirtz.

This event is made possible by the generosity of Lake Forest Bank and Trust and Lake Forest Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Joe Gordon.

Incoming Freshmen (Class of 2017) Informational Football Meeting with Head Coach Chuck Spagnoli
Monday, May 20
at 7:30 in the LFHS West Campus Gymnasium

The Lake Forest Football Dads Club would like to invite all incoming freshmen (Class of 2017) boys and their parents to an informational meeting about the Lake Forest High School football program.  Coach Spagnoli will explain everything that is involved with the high school football program, from the summer conditioning and camp to the pre-season and regular season daily schedule.  Coach Spagnoli will also be available to answer any questions there may be about the football program.  There will be a lot of important information shared at this meeting.  If your son is interested in participating in football at Lake Forest High School, it is highly recommended and encouraged that your 8th grader and a parent attend this meeting.

The Football Dads Club would like to invite all the fathers of incoming freshmen to this meeting, to learn a bit about what the Dads Club is and how the club supports all the boys in the Lake Forest Scouts football program.  Scout Pride!
