District 67 Haiti Relief Efforts – A Huge Success!
A Combined Total of $ 35,491.12 Raised
Dr. Harry Griffith, along with Mr. John Steinert (DPM Principal) and students from Deer Path Middle School and Lake Forest High School presented a donation check to the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Rotary on Wednesday, February 24. District 67 schools, Lake Forest HIgh School, and staff members from the District 67/115 Administration Center partnered with the LF/LB Rotary Club to raise funds to supply emergency Shelter Boxes to the victims of the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti. Each Shelter Box (www.shelterbox.org) costs $1,000 and contains a ten person tent, insulated sleeping mats, lightweight thermal blankets, multi-fueled cooking stove, eating utensils, water purification tablets, and emergency equipment and tools.
