APT Visiting Author Presentations

The Visiting Author Program is coordinated by the APT and funded through a Spirit of 67 Grant.

On February 25th and 26th, author Alexandria LaFaye will work with DPM 5th graders during the school day. Her book, Worth (2005 Scott O’Dell award-winner for historical fiction), has been added to the 5th grade reading list. Over the two-day period, Ms. LaFaye will discuss her writing method. Her emphasis on historical fiction explores the importance of research. In addition to being an author, Alexandria LaFaye is a children’s literature and creative writing professor.
