Morning Drop-Off Safety Concerns
Do you drive your child to school? If so, we need your help!
The car line in the morning at Cherokee School has been an ongoing challenge this year. Not only are many students arriving late to school and missing instructional time, there are serious concerns about safety in, and around, the parking lot. To ensure students arrive ON-TIME and SAFELY to school every day, please adhere to the following... click here to read our safety announcement.

APT Fine Arts Performance
String Groove – Led by violinist Edgar Gabriel, String Groove takes the audience on a musical journey that transcends time, geography, and culture. This musical ensemble combines old-world music with new sounds to create a truly original 21st Century sound. With the violin/electric violin at the core of the instrumentation, the musicians demonstrate infectious, driving rhythms and syncopations that are influenced by a wide variety of musical genres, including classical, West African, Middle Eastern, Asian, Latino, jazz, folk, blues, and rock. This performance is organized by the APT and funded through a generous grant from The Spirit of 67 Foundation.

APT Book Drive - Feb. 1-15 - click here for the flyer
District 67 APT has partnered with Bernie's Book Bank to sponsor a book drive on February 1-15, 2012. The goal of the APT Book Drive is to collect 10,000 books for at-risk children in Chicagoland. Not only will the drive connect more children needing books with more books needing children, but it will also create a very positive experience for District 67 schools and students. Please bring gently used books (6th grade level and below) to your school. To learn more about Bernie's mission, check out a video at http://www.berniesbookbank.org/videos
