High School Information

High school transition is right around the corner and we would like to help you and your child feel very comfortable with the process. Whether your plan is to attend Lake Forest High School, or seek the private high school experience, we can help you through it.

Counselor Coffees

Counselor coffees are informational meetings for 8th grade parents to learn about courses in particular departments at Lake Forest High School. On hand will be counselors and Instructional Directors from DPM and LFHS to provide useful information and answer questions. These meetings will be helpful in the transition process as you support your child in selecting courses for 9th grade.

Trading Spaces - 8th Grade Transition Meeting
(for 8th graders and their parents)

Tuesday, February 9th at 7-8:30 pm in the LFHS David Miller Theater. Free and no registration required. Come hear from a panel of experts and those who have “been there and done that.” The panel will offer insights and advice to help your 8th grader make a smooth transition from middle school to high school. The panel will include: LFHS social worker John Maher, CROYA’s Chris Torrance, LEAD’s Betty Frank-Bailey, plus a parent and current LFHS student.
